Good article Eve, We must also remember that Universal Design applies to neighborhoods, cities, communities and devices. And there are connections to sustainable communities. If a place is walkabale and rollable, folks who can not drive or do not care to drive can get to the store, the doctor, etc without a car. Kids can get to the store or the movies without a car. Moms, dads, and nannies don;t have to drive them. People are on the street, local business is supported, the community is healthier and the carbon footprint is lower. Everyone wins!
