		<description><![CDATA[Hi Norma,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many years ago, at a tax workshop, one of the speakers pointed out this interesting technique.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What looks like fair split, can, instead turn out to have some dastardly surprises to an unsuspecting spouse.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&#039;ll admit, before she pointed this out, I&#039;d never really thought about it. (Of course, I had not had any experience with couples who had assets of any substance either.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since then, I have been involved with divorces - and did take this information into account. Depending on the fairness of the opposing spouse overall - I&#039;d either encourage my client to be fair, or to be clever.]]></description>
